Florida Care Properties, the contracted day program attended by Delta Manor’s residents, recently contracted work for the residents with local manufacturer, Saf-T-Cart. Residents assemble packages of nuts, screws, washers, etc. and cut foam and chain that are then brought together and boxed with MM8 and MM10 wheels. The wheel packages are sent back to Saf-T-Cart to be paired with various carts that are shipped to companies worldwide. The residents are making minimum wage for their work and have received two checks so far. They are extremely excited about their important contribution to Saf-T-Cart’s business.
